EPK: Electronic Press Kit - The Catch Blues Band

Band Bio
The Catch Blues Band, formed in 2006, has been successfully entertaining Ohio Valley audiences for almost a half-decade. The four-piece blues and classic rock band from West Virginia was founded by singer, songwriter and guitarist Michael Roeder. The 2007 release of the band's first CD,”It’s Not Right"has sold both nationally and internationally, and gave the band a solid foothold in the blues community. The CD's distinctive mixture of Latin rhythms and down-home, battle-house blues raunchiness has led to the band's increased success and popularity. The Catch has taken the stage with countless renowned blues artist such as Hubert Sumlin, The Night Hawks, Lonnie Brooks, Chris Beard, James “Super Chikan” Johnson, Zac Harmon and many others.
In January of 2009,the band was signed to Chicago's Electro Glide Records,a label founded by legendary Chicago bluesman Jimmy Warren.
The Catch Blues Band's eagerly awaited second CD "Love Me", slated for release in October 2010 on Electro Glide Records, is sure to be another favorite for any blues fan. The CD was written and arranged by Roeder and long-time keyboardist for the band, Kevin Brosh. The team has once again recreated the band's distinctive "blues with a splash of rum" sound that made their first collaboration a success.
